Minimum Requirements:

  • Grade 12 or N3 Electrical Engineering
  • Computer literate in Windows, Microsoft Office Package, CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System)
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Certificates in: Maintenance Planning and Scheduling; Asset Care Centre Foundations & Overview; Asset Register Administration; Fundamentals of Asset Management
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar environment

Core Responsibilities:

  • Management of the Computerised Maintenance Management System and asset register database
  • Updating of the Asset register as per Procedures, Policies and Legislative requirements in the CMMS
  • Configuration of the Asset type tree in the CMMS in accordance with the required standards and procedures
  • Planning and Scheduling of maintenance work and activities in the CMMS
  • Maintaining, managing and updating Energy asset register database
  • Maintaining, managing and updating asset movement and data changes
  • Managing, improving and reporting on the department’s approved maintenance and refurbishment plans
  • Supervising, mentoring and managing of Maintenance Schedulers
  • Providing administrative and coordinating support to the Corporate Office and each of the depots
  • Developing, managing, maintaining and improving any further asset management practices within EMM
  • Providing authoritative, specialist expertise and advice to internal and external customers with regard to Maintenance Planning and Scheduling in the Computerised Maintenance Management system
  • Ensuring that financial administration delivery processes comply with internal control and governance standards and report on any deviations
  • Providing feedback on governance, risk and compliance practices and escalate unresolved issues via appropriate channels for investigation and resolution
  • Complying with the necessary policies, procedures and legislative requirements ensuring efficient and effective asset management and the accuracy and integrity of the CMMS data for auditing purposes
