The Construction Education and Training Authority (CETA) exists in terms of the Skills Development Act and is a categorised as a Schedule 3A public entity in terms of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA). Its mandate includes:

• Developing and implementing a sector skills plan
• Promoting learning programmes
• Registering learning programme agreements
• Serving as an Education and Training Quality Authority
• Collecting and disbursing skills development levies
• Liaising with the National Skills Authority
• Reporting to the Director-General of the Department of Higher Education and Training on its activities

The CETA would like to make the following appointments on fixed-term contracts up to 31 March 2018, renewable at its discretion:


• Based at the Head Office: Midrand
• Reporting to the Administration and Travel Unit
• All-inclusive package negotiable

Minimum requirements for the position

• Ability to communicate In English
• Ability to read and write
• At least one year year’s experience of working as a Housekeeper in an office environment

Duties and Responsibilities

In terms of duties and responsibilities, the Housekeeper must:
• Clean offices and all related facilities
• Make and serve tea/coffee for internal staff and visitors
• Catering for meetings, functions and other events
• Assist with messenger services
• Basic Administrative functions
